well, it's my favorite quote from a book I was just reading
the protagonist is looking for all these girls she has to swallow to gain their knowledge of this ancient song
that
there's a prophecy, see
about how she's going to sing this song and break open the seal on a goddess
so she finds all the girls and eats them but she still doesn't know the song
and then near the end she's upset
she has a bunch of fragments that all sound like they're from different songs
so she like
rage prays
and the goddess is like "all of life is but phrases of the sacred song we arrange in our hearts"
and I like that
